Diary of a Singapore Cabby 10 Sep 2012: An Incredible Fortune Teller
When I was still a kid studying at the doorstep, a fortune-teller passed by and offered a free advice to me that I would do something different at middle age (perhaps by reading my forehead).
Today many netizens (just like me) are doing something extra out of our own self in one way or another.

Diary of a Singapore Cabby 21 Aug 2012: Best Insult at a Cabby
The best response to insult is not to fall into the shadow of these people, but to take up the challenge to do more correct things in return with humor.
We cannot and do not have to win those who are determined to create trouble and are up to no good, with some even to the extent of committing offence to be the sore losers.

TOC 7 Mar 2016: “where’s the justice in that?”, asks friend of Dominique Sarron Lee
Redbean 6 Mar 2016: No one is above the law? Not in Singapore
For death of NS, the (military) court would have charged the wrongful people for their triple error (6/2=3). For duty of NS, the (dangerous) exercise would NOT be covered under insurance for any unfortunate mishandling (3X). Undeniably, there are more (thoughtful) army people doing their professional duty to help/ cooperate with everyone to finish rightful duty (safe n sound).

Redbean 12 Jan 2016: Signs of desperation to collect more money
Apply 80-20 rule, after school parking fee benefits more n gives back to school. For example, the (contracted) big school bus can utilise (charges apply) the empty parking space at night.

#2 Common Sense (and X3) on MSL . What can an introductory crash course teach - probably conversational and daily expressions - eager learners can DIY download free (expect incomplete) version of language apps.
We can be more effective by getting ONE Indonesian translator - or conduct the military course in Indonesian, never mind whether English (pictures speak a thousand words) presentation materials.

Andrew Loh 30 Jul 2013: Govt’s handling of recent cases erodes trust in public institutions
In high temptation environment, there will be blinded black sheep on the loose path to illegal deal/ lag service/ ..., regardless whether in public/ private/ media sector.
To rebuild trust/ quality/ ..., organization need to acknowledge mistake/ review loophole/ implement strategy/ ... to ensure there will be no similar occurrence in future.

Philolitics 17 Jun 2013: Singapore: Debunking the “Boys to Men” Myth
Well, my best guess is you (as citizen) will still need to go through NSF, before end of compulsory military service in Singapore (if ever, terms and conditions apply).
You may have trivialized the significance of NSF (in case of emergency), and especially to those NS men who had been injured or had encountered near-death experience.
My army friends (include manager) seldom complained when doing reservist, as we tried to complete job without delay (for early release) to attend to family/ work matter.

Lucky Tan 3 May 2013: Info-graphics : Income Inequality in Singapore
Good that you are back again after some break. With further limit on foreign labor growth (no minimum wage yet), employers should now see that they had taken advantage/ abused the system for too long by just enriching their own kind.
For employers that are way above high profit, workers need to be rewarded with at least half-to-one month bonus. For workers that are way below market rate, employers need to give a minimum 5% salary increase to at least offset inflation cost.

Catherine Lim 12 Mar 2013: The PAP in Critical Transition; Regaining Lost Trust

Lucky Tan 20 Feb 2013: Busting the myth about welfare states
Time for Singapore to have a serious look at CSR and Sustainability – Understanding ISO 26000: Principles for Social Responsibility (see also Guidebook for Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility)

Lucky Tan 20 Feb 2013: Xenophobia label used to attack opponents of bad policies
Xenophobia (vs stop abuse) and globalization (vs corporate social responsibility) are common poor excuses used to defend one-sided/ extreme/ short-term/ unhealthy/ ... (vs many-sided/ multi-faceted/ sustainable/ wholesome/ ...) policies/ practices.
To keep the same reasoning on xenophobia/ globalization to achieve so-called success for selfish minority, Singapore can never move towards the right path of trustrespect to achieve togetherness and real success for all.

Diary of a Singapore Cabby 29 Aug 2012: London Cab – New Life with Grant
It will be great to see further cut following your recommendations, but likely to be tough to interfere the booking charge/ transfer charge/ rental fee/ ... for high-cost wheelchair taxis by SMRT. The ultimate call towards community spirit will still depend on CSR of profit-oriented organization for the convenience of handicaps.
The long-term solution will be to expand the services of reasonable cost wheelchair mini buses by HWA (or other charitable organization). The low-cost wheelchair accessible public buses can complement these shortages during off-peak period, bearing some inconvenience here and there.

Lucky Tan 14 Jun 2012: The Real Economic Trade-offs for Singapore
Singaporeans are not against meaningful growth, but the abuse of pro-foreigner policy resulting in over crowding problem that citizens have to face everywhere (HDB/ public transport/ work place).
It is also strange that government can quickly implement ethic HDB quota, but yet resist (expecting miracle from tweak on FW levy/ fallacy of TAFEP) implementing job quota to stop unhealthy practice of foreign enclave.

Today 23 Sep 2011: S’pore takes Ionescu case seriously: Shanmugam
Instead of intent to protect righteous diplomat, there is no doubt diplomatic immunity had been abused in Singapore (near 2 years) and can continue to be abused in any country due to selfishness.
The big questions for worldwide concern (not just for Singapore) are on person conscience/ governance integrity/ international justice, and does justice ever prevail for victims.
Likewise, certain unfair/ one-sided/ extreme policies and practices here are much in favour only to minority group, and do not really serve interest of common Singaporeans.

Today 31 Mar 2011: The maid, the NSF, his backpack – and the SAF’s image
Gen-W/ Gen-X/ Gen-Y/ Gen-Z NS men genuine problem? A mummy strange thinking? Or just a pamper youth?
Logical thinking is parents will let go of older kids (at upper primary/ before secondary) to start to learn to be independent on their own in order to survive outside.
Rational thinking is Gen-W/ Gen-X NS men will take the effort to prepare grown-up Gen-Y/ Gen-Z to become physically fit/ confident to take school physical fitness test.

TR 24 Nov 2010:

Today 23 Nov 2010: Niece harboured and helped Mas Selamat
Expect also to see double standard in handling whole incident – close-eye mentality with high-ranker vs harsh firing at family target.

TR 29 Jan 2010: PAP MP Alvin Yeo: Foreigners will not come here if we make them serve National Service
There should not be any difference to citizens with regard to responsibility in contributing to economy/ national defence.
Through NS/ Reservist, most Singaporean males will go through some physical training, and have to take extra effort to prepare/ pass IPPT.
Foreigner/ PR males turn citizens need to go through similar training (under NS/ Police Force/ Civil Defence), and share responsibility in contributing to national defence.

TR 18 Jan 2010: Debunking the three fallacies inherent in SM Goh’s argument that good leadership is linked to economic performance
Though Lion/ Sheeps analogy emphasize on importance of good leader; no less importance should be on part of team members that are crucial for team success.
With character (like Lion), good minister will never abandon individual citizen, and have ability to strengthen society to achieve common goal together (for dynamics and competitiveness).
With enthusiasm, even if relatively small (like Sheep), citizens will have opportunities to fully utilize individual abilities to build a better Singapore (both socially and economically).

The challenges of this separation: (1) social engineering on the rise (2) tortoise-slow network workstation, especially if shared by group (3) snapping of sensitive data with personal mobile phone (4) blah blah blah ...

Redbean 1 Apr 2016: Changi Resort beckons for the pioneer generation
More lazy bargains on the card not to miss for the (internet) fun, free fibre wifi n charging points available, over freedom/ privacy.

Redbean 14 Jan 2016: Data theft – Singapore is so bless
Similarly, Data Sharing (or leakage) is common with misuse/ abuse of smartphone. Company email is a forgotten (proper) channel for transmitting official document. People (strangely) prefer to communicate/ share (official) work matters/ issues thru (unofficial) sites such as Skype/ WhatsApp.

Redbean 9 Jan 2016: China taking a tough stand against terrorism
#1 is Illegal Demand that opposes Protection Law (such as PDP/ IP). Asking technology firm to break the encrypted code is the same offence as ordering authorised person (with secret passwords) to misuse/ abuse the sensitive code.
#2 is Unrealistic Demand that opposes (respectful) Freedom of Speech. The media is already restricted with mechanism (against terrorism) like content moderationblockage n Internet Law.

Amos Yee 6 Jan 2016: The epic story of Amos Yee on the run from the law
Have u applied for NS deferment for whatever good excuse, not lame excuse of hiding in Singapore? Otherwise, later (army) Military Police would also visit ur parent everyday if u AWOL in Singapore.

Amos Yee 18 Dec 2015: PPP filing a police report against Calvin Cheng shows that they are retarded
Do send a message (or make a call) to your beloved parent with Skype (or WhatsApp) if you have not, before you continue with your highly-exposed/ hyper-active presence on the internet.

Redbean 17 Dec 2015: Amos Yee on the run
AY is an auto-inclusion to ica blacklist, under 24 by 7 monitoring. Govt will wait for his own return, the day he wishes to. Singapore will 'miss' his appearance here, especially his parents.

TOC 4 Dec 2015: Calvin Cheng and Amos Yee: Where should we draw the line on freedom of speech?
CC/ AY/ manipulators alike are ungentlemanly in common, and only strive to be lowest/ worst against their low/ bad challengers.
CC will not hesitate to deal heavily (or killings in his eyes) even with 'cruel' young children to influence the media and masses.
AY will not hesitate to make fun of the dead (or hatred in his mind) even with 'respectable' former PMs to achieve his goals.

Beside being literally good and right, I believe it is important to be visually clear and bright at times.
May your professionalism climb to greater heights on your new endeavour with both Words and Graphics.

Amos Yee 1 May 2015: A piece of trivial news
Like you say, you are the first kid to face the unbelievable situation, your parents are the closest kin to take the unbearable frustration.
Being a not-so-normal person (like you), I am glad that I did not cause much trouble to my parent when I was a child.
Just my peanut view, I have serious doubts only on #1 (not #2) on your bail term, so wait for next bailor (maybe Roy).
You seem to accuse your abusive father, but have forgotten your parents' remind/ nag/ warning (in particular, on the painful father) a zillion time.
You seem to fight all you can, but deny the same rights you fight for (in particular, on the respectable late PMs) to other people except yourself.
Say sorry (in particular, to the first-and-last person with you at this stage) and go on live with greater HUMOR.

Mitsueki 2 Nov 2013: The Anonymous Legion declaring “War” against the Singapore Government
Report websites that are compromised (whether directly or indirectly) so that innocent users will not be affected, if you understand what Internet Security really means!
Well, amktc must be a popular target for hackers? Thought amktc should had cleaned up website 1 year ago (about May 2012) after I reported (indirectly) after Google Search (by chance) on something else.

TOC 29 Jul 2013: You Have Missed The Point, Prime Minister
What do the writer/ cartoonist actually want PM to response with so MANY missed the point? Just read and laugh on comical stuff?
If anyone want to bring up any serious stuff, the very least to do is to stop the lame excuse of putting everything fictitious.
Could the writer list here a particular gentleman stuff that the cartoonist had done to correct at least ONE missed the point?

Lucky Tan 14 Jun 2013: It is the govt that has to be regulated not the online news
Just for real world, the relevant authority (MCI/ MDA/ IDA/ ...) already not monitoring/ fighting all the way against bad people (from fake/ unethical/ unlicensed spammer/ scammer/ advertiser to misuse/ unauthorized/ hacking/ cramming/ fraud/ ...) to protect the common people.
It is really amazing that the government has extra time/ effort/ resource/ priority to impose additional law (monetized license over ‘rich’ website) on the local internet community.

SG Web Reviews 12 Jun 2013: An ungrateful ex-Singaporean
Some of the points here are equally self-centered (not his limpeh right?) – at least he is so far a good not-so-bad citizen elsewhere and has not let down Singaporeans.
Many citizens here may not support him to continue his awareness lessons (to extreme of belittling small country on virtual space) since he is already in better bigger country.
My simple thought for him would be to concentrate on his future/ long-term plan – maybe make it big on real world (more than just an ex-Singaporean owning properties) if he can?

Mr Brown 30 May 2013: MDA displays its light touch once again
Singapore already has ample rules/ regulations/ ... to restrain websites from crossing over the red line. If MDA really want to be consistent, the criteria of websites with 50,000 unique IP access (arbitrarily unassessable) will just mean false hope/ measurement.
Perhaps, the better/ realistic catch for MDA will be to go after those news websites with huge revenue ($50,000 website worth), through account fees/ online ads/ ...? However, are MDA priorities still to protect the common people against misuse/ fraud/ ...?

Molly Meek 5 Sep 2012: PAP’s Engagement Yields Results [Or: Who is afraid of being radical?]
My two cents worth of thoughts
1 cent advice to WP MP on Shutdown PC: Please do not ask netizen to shut down PC and break the internet connection, especially when there is no real connection between government and Singaporeans. The more courageous netizen can do parallel task on some real hands-on stuff and see the reality of life.
1 cent feedback to Yahoo! Singapore on SILENCE THE HATE: The Silence style is just 1 level down the Hate style. Try the kinder style of asking people to Think Over and Jump Over style? Sensible people will take the kind advice, and trouble makers will forever be sore losers.

Feed Me To The Fish 27 Jul 2012: My 1st World Chinkapore?
How about give the lady another chance to see/ hear/ learn in public bus/ place, giving benefit of doubt that she is another nobody, just equally not-so-rich, ..., like most Singaporean?

Feed Me To The Fish 1 Mar 2012: I am Nobody, Just a Singaporean Blogger
Do small favour to loved ones by not posting everything in the air (minus hatred). One small consolation is only #3 will be answered pretty soon.
A gentle note – Jack be nimble, Jack be quick, Jack jump over The ‘hatred’ stick.

Today 8 Apr 2011: Temasek Review to shut down, says website editor
With so-called MSM in favor of the government, new media sites (though presented in very much different way) do play significant part towards right direction for good social development of Singapore.
In any case, be it TODAY/ ST/ TR/ TOC, any one-sided/ exaggerated/ overblown issues (like Water Festival/ YOG Indecent Meal in the past) may turn out to be in bad taste to many other people.

Today 10 Nov 2010: Today has grown steadily in reputation and readership
For whatever ridiculous reason, there remain some people who still resist change in new media, but are at times just echoing nice picture and trumpeting hypocrite to be in favour of minority few.
Ironically, the biggest hurdle to see true real improvement to professional and integrity in journalism, is still the lack of true genuine support from the current one-party dominant government.

Today 21 Oct 2010: It’s now New Temasek Review
With so-called MSM in favor of the government practically all of the time, it is not difficult to understand why appearance of many such new media sites.
From many media sites, smart readers will be able to see through misleading and doubtful reporting due to lack of true professionalism and integrity.
Will there be a NEW TODAY (by no mistake) for good social development of Singapore (and without further mistake), or will just get to see same old today?

TOC 15 Aug 2010: Offer volunteers a decent meal, at least
Most volunteers will be mentally prepared to finish undertaken task for certain period of time, and will not expect anything extraordinary in return.
Presence of volunteer not only means assigned task being done, but more importantly give big moral support to other party involved.
True wisdom is no volunteer will feel sorrow or regret for little sacrifice to see small things go on smoothly.

(Astroturfing)

TR 1 Apr 2010: April’s Fool joke: Astroturfing by the PAP
What PAP/ MSM capable of is just self-create insider excitement among PAP/ PA member/ new citizens, and can never make any more public excitement among Singaporeans with their foolish policy/ practice.
With government losing interest in citizens, new generation of Singaporeans can only look out for one another in new media, so that one day can bring back future of Singapore with true feeling towards country.

TR 26 Feb 2010:

The world has heard/ seen peaceful gatherings on fair election, but unfortunately with few Malaysians in trouble here in Singapore (whether at Merlion Park or even Malaysian Embassy).
After ‘worldwide’ rallys, hopefully Malaysia can come to a ‘happier’ ending with/ without the help of United Nations (Political Affairs?) peacemaking to resolve the election issues.

Philolitics 11 Apr 2013: Margaret Thatcher vs Harry Lee Kuan Yew
You miss the very important point on the respectable former PM Margaret Thatcher and Lee Kuan Yew (not ignoring whatever wrong) – not any normal Maggie or Harry that you could choose on the street.
I guess, love or like by individual (but chosen by nation) of the respectable former PMs.

Feed Me To The Fish 23 Jan 2013: Taking The Thunder Out Of Tharman’s Budget Speech
For this Punggol East BE, not much to count on the sincerity towards those living in Punggol/ Sengkang, since the last-minute candidates are just echoing many problems here and attacking who are the bigger losers.
The voters will likely make their decisions based on the ability/ courage of the potential party willing to put the country in the right path. The BE result will also show those parties that are not up to the expectation of Singaporeans.

Lucky Tan 21 Jan 2013: Political Strategy and the Punggol East by-elections
The election boundaries are politically twisted/ illogical and definitely not towards human touch/ wholesome. This Punggol East BE is not just for those living in Punggol, and also for some living in Sengkang as well.
Take for example, Sengkang Town is remarkably chopped up into 3 parts – Punggol East SMC/ Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC/ Sengkang West SMC. For other strange reasons, Punggol East SMC becomes closer to Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC and Sengkang West SMC becomes closer to Ang Mo Kio GRC.

Lucky Tan 9 Jan 2013: AIM-PAP Saga : white elephants, transparency and accountability
For the whole big exercise of outsourcing the IT system, no sound advice/ discussion involving highly professional ICT expert/ consultant from IDA?
It is pretty clear that WP has emerged as the bigger winner with the upscale IT system, even though TC Management Report shows otherwise.

Molly Meek 24 Oct 2012: Papers Full of Nonsense
Debate (or exciting two-way conversation) and lecture (or mostly boring one-way conversation) are 2 sides of the coin; both used to communicate to intended (attentive/ obedient) audience.
The seasoned politician will choose the correct style (or hybrid style) at the correct time/ place for effective communication/ presentation; the single noble thing to do is to keep your promises.

Feed Me To The Fish 19 Jun 2012: When Words Fail Me
Deadlock between so-called leader/ new generation (and dead-end from bottom up) will put Singapore no way down the right path.
I hope Reuben Wang would put back his earlier post (exclude #@^*...) as long as his original intention was of no ill intention.
Nevertheless his priority is still to further his study, think for his future/ family and later can do more right things for the country.

Feed Me To The Fish 24 May 2012: “What Makes PAP Is So Detestable?”
Take a look back how former MP Chiam See Tong was sabotaged (openly) and weakened by own party members.
Like history repeats itself, incumbent MP Low Thia Khiang suffers the same fate of sabotage (hideously) and messed up by underhand sources.
Most importantly with their passions, the veteran oppositions must face the tide to continue doing the right things for the citizens.

Feed Me To The Fish 21 May 2012: Hougang Hokkien
Let’s not finger point at our own people, even though people still have many dislikes on the policies.
Do not forget the Achilles’ heel is the disunity among (and within) the opposition parties.
If only the 2 veteran oppositions, former MP Chiam See Tong/ incumbent MP Low Thia Khiang, had joined forces together (in GE 2011) to consolidate 2 opposition wards PP (now lost)/ HG (now by-election), would there be better way to gain trust and show sincerity to win more votes (maybe more than AJ)?

Today 15 Sep 2011: Two-party system not good for Singapore, says Lee Kuan Yew
Government cannot rely largely on foreigners forever to run economy/ business, but more importantly to face real problems of high cost of living, declining birth rate and long-term development of Singaporeans.

Today 24 Aug 2011: Hougang grassroots adviser eyes six sites
Why PA keep spending unnecessary money just to resort to old past ugly practice to block and out-smart one another presence, against true spirit for community?
Why PAP/ WP/ SPP cannot co-exist with simple graceful practice of first-come-first-serve (1-month booking in advance), else look for next better premise under Town Council?
Why MND allow such controversial lawful practice to PA, instead of coming up with convincing fairer ideas to uphold integrity of Town Council management?
Why IDA? not come out with helpful centralised Town Councils booking system for community events, if everyone cannot see eye-to-eye, cooperate and agree forever?

Today 12 Aug 2011: Social cohesion, immigration may feature in PM’s rally, say analysts
From usual emphasis on business/ economy, it will be difficult for PM to face directly on real issues that cause Singaporeans to live in disappointment (even after earlier last-minute sudden sincere? apology).
Going forward in internet age, it will be difficult to see less of negativity (from leftist and rightist)/ cyber-bully/ hypocrisy/ hatred/ arrogance without real connection between government and Singaporeans.

Today 4 May 2011: PM now focusing more on middleclass and young
PAP last-minute helpless move! or sudden sincere U-turn after so many years?
Majority not-so-rich/ not-so-poor, not-so-white/ not-so-black, not-so-old/ not-so-new do not have any extraordinary demand and do not depend much on government despite high cost of living.
Most Singaporeans are actually very simple-minded/ reasonable, and common hope is to see truly good government that can truly represent citizens by achieving true meaningful growth together.

Today 28 Apr 2011: High-stake move could see no Opposition MPs in House: Low
With X-factor of sincerity/ wisdom / caring/ ... (able to understand common people view) and Y-factor of courage/ spirit/ drive/ ... (strive to put country in right path), citizens can now look forward to work together with potential party/ new team towards better generation of Singaporeans.
The S-factor of this election (fulfill our generations wish) is for all Singaporeans to steer away from typical mindset (such as kia su/ kia see/ bo bian/ bo chap/ ...), and to keep clear mind (at least for this crucial moment) to vote wisely for kind of ‘brighter’ future we want.

Today 19 Apr 2011: Ground may not be sweet for GE: SM Goh
Singaporeans should watch closely this election and be inspired from fighting spirit of old ‘stars’ MM Lee Kuan Yew and MP Chiam See Tong.
Most importantly, Singaporeans look forward to uprising new stars who are willing to fight against current flawed system with true heart/ spirit.

Today 18 Apr 2011: PAP manifesto a call to ‘secure future together’
Singaporeans do not need over-priced leaders to mindlessly catch self-serve wind to crave up huge meaningless economic gains, and giving themselves passing grade with their own one-sided exam.
Singaporeans want true-balanced leadership to selflessly serve citizens to build ‘brighter’ future with real meaningful growth, and helping citizens from further abuse of many extreme policies.

Today 12 Apr 2011: ‘No groupthink within PAP’
Singaporeans have seen far too many collective thinking of current government on no U-turn stand, and to take any slight chance/ gamble on Singapore future with many extreme policies.
Singaporeans have strong feeling for breakthrough on constrained groupthink of current one-party dominant government, and to build a ‘brighter’ Singapore with better balanced policies.

Today 6 Apr 2011: Two-party system ‘not workable in S’pore due to shortage of talent’
Singaporeans cannot rely on same old shallow promise from current one-party dominant government, and live in disappointment with many one-sided/ extreme policies forever.
Singaporeans can only stand up together in this election to fight against current flawed system, and bring back our past true spirit towards more meaningful/ brighter future.

Today 30 Mar 2011: Mixed views on youngest PAP candidate in three decades
For past few days, here seems to off-track from real fight and has become another cyber-bully site (like Stomp) to attack on every little ugly aspect of life.
For all people here, bear in mind that NO one will want to be made fun of and target by another person (or worst still by many groups) for purpose of defeating your enemy.
For young PAP candidate who claim to be tech-savvy, face the music on reality of internet bashing on your true old past, TODAY and would be future.

Today 24 Mar 2011: Low Thia Khiang: No NCMP seat for me
Can 2 veteran opposition MP Chiam See Tong (now out of SDA)/ MP Low Thia Khiang (now expanding WP) start by joining forces together to consolidate current 2 opposition wards PP/ HG first, follow by more sincere promises to citizens to win more votes?

Today 14 Mar 2011: Essential to win a GRC, says WP’s Low
Not just knocking down hurdle of ONE unfair GRC policy, but to move towards fundamental changes to MANY other unfair/ misguided policies.
Cut in pay of current government/ president/ ministers with proper benchmarking for performance-linked pay (obviously OVER benchmarking now).
Push job quota to help citizens from further abuse of pro-foreigner policy (same OVER crowding problem citizens face before ethic HDB quota).

Today 25 Feb 2011: There is some gerrymandering: WP
This election is about ONE important factor on our future policy, NOT the no U-turn (and no safe road ahead) policy which current government/ PAP continuously advocate.
The mature voters will decide what kind of ‘brighter’ future they want, NOT to blindly give (and waste away) their ‘support’/ ‘mandate’ like in the past.

Today 3 Nov 2010: The mood of a nation … and what it means for the coming election
More and more Singaporeans are showing discontent with the senseless mentality of our so-called leaders and the like, and are voicing out their real/ sad sentiments due to many extreme policies/ practices adopted.
With PAP gradually losing respect/ support, the current government will turn out to be real loser for over-emphasis on huge economic gains, and for neglecting main duty to serve citizens by achieving true meaningful growth.

TR 20 Oct 2010:

TOC 13 Jul 2010: BREAKING NEWS: MDA bans See’s film on ISA detainee
Grievances that are too tough to swallow and will remain as unerasable chapter of Singapore forever.
Obvious repercussions are internet groups and younger generations already breaking faith on our so-called leaders and the like.

TR 25 Jan 2010: SM Goh: Elections not coming soon
With more Singaporeans showing discontent (with extreme policies/ practices), PAP cannot count on economic recovery alone to regain old glory; it would take lots more sincerity/ courage to be willing to relook/ value better balanced approaches.
At the end, what all hope to see is truly good government (maybe wait until after next election), that can move Singapore towards right track, and at same time can work hand in hand with Singaporeans together.
