Before the Lunar New Year, the Chinese will receive free red packet (or ang pow 紅包, mostly from TheBank/ TheRetail) while preparing/ shopping for the festive occasion. There are typically few categories (or combinations of) on the art and design of red packet.

On the internet, ang pow enthusiasts will share/ discuss the design available for the year. Some collectors/ traders will even go to the extent of buy/ sell, pricing from S$1.50 to S$3.00 per packet.

Time flies! Another month gone! The Lunar New Year celebration is coming to an end.

Some green things the Chinese can do are to reuse (those still in good condition) New Year decorations and good luck Ang Pow (or red packets). Remember to recycle New Year cookies containers, old paper New Year decorations and spoilt red packets.
